Man, what a worthless statistic. "The internet"? What is that, public pages? Everything those pages link to? The databases behind them?
'course, I may be spoiled, since my companies sell systems that can store ten times that much information, and have sold systems in the past that can store 70x that much info..
Nah, nothing so exciting. NSA, ExxonMobil, Naval Research Lab, GSA, Office of Naval Intelligence.. primarily a lot of gov't agencies, and private companies with significant storage needs.
Hi, I'm Michael Duff. I'm a Livejournal refugee, moving to Blogger so I can lose what few fans I have right now.
I used to have a newspaper column. I used to have a radio show. Now I have a job.
I used to post to Usenet, writing long, angry screeds about the way the world should be. Now I have a blog, where I crack jokes about how the world is.
I used to write about people I know. Now I just write about politics and pop culture.
I used to think blogs could change the world. Now I'm just killing time, waiting for my novel to sell.

Sold to who? The Illuminati? Porn companies? Video publishers?
Space aliens in collusion with the RNC?

Such storage products can be seen here: http://www.adic.com/adicZtl.htm
(And I have personally installed one of those Scalar i2000s with a capacity around 600TB. In the Pentagon, yo.)

I say the Pentagon is pretty damn exciting.
That's some serious porn storage.
Think the Internet has more porn than Wal*Mart has consumer data?
